John Van Orden has over 25 years' experience in the IT industry, and has held various levels of responsibility including project manager, applications manager, and operations manager.
His experience comprises both public and private sector consulting, including five years as software engineering metrics and process improvement consultant for a large government contractor computer services organization. He has been involved in software measurements based on function point analysis for over eight years as a certified function point specialist.
John is a member of IFPUG, a CFPS and Chair of the IFPUG Academics Affair Committee. He has served as a member of IFPUG's Education, Certification, and Board Advisory Committees, and served on IFPUG's Board of Directors as Treasurer. He is a member of the Project Management Institute, and holds BA and MBA degrees.
